Have you been receiving emails from Faith Hub? Its been a year since we saw their emails in our Inboxes and the one responsible for that is as shown above, Bro Mehboob. He happen to come to our office last Wednesday to share some ideas. 

Coming from a Non Malay speaking background, he prefers to champion the religion through the use of the English language. As the Faithhub centre deals with mostly converts, they usually conduct their classes in English.

Why was he there?

Faithhub is starting a new program called The I-WILL program, so he came to share this with us. Basicly the whole programs gives you an understanding of Islam through reasoning. Unlike the days when we were told to do “A” we will do “A”, people nowadays are smarter and they can think for themselves and hence motivating someone to do something is very different.

It seems to be a very interesting program indeed and the first of its workshops is being conducted this Saturday, 31st January 2009 from 3.30pm to 6pm @ Wisma Indah Lvl 4 Rm 5.

More about Bro Mehboob

Brother MEHBOOB has a bachelors degree in Microbiology from the National University of Singapore. He pursued his Masters in Business Administration from Oklahoma City University USA. He holds a Diploma in Islamic Studies and is the author of the series “Inspirations from the Quran”. He is also a certified trainer and has been trained in Six Sigma methodologies.

He has more than 20 years’ of corporate experience with multi-national corporations and currently holds a management position with an MNC. He has been involved in dakwah work for more than 10 years. He would like to share his wealth of knowledge on the application of the Islamic values in our daily living.  He is also the current Vice President of Faith Hub.

This talk on ‘Miracles of the Qur’an’ will deal with the questions of adab in facing this world and its difficulties & blessings, how far we are able to do the things we want & in correcting our intentions.

It will be held in English by the esteemed scholar, Ustaz Mohammed Iqbal Abdullah who converted to Islam 25 years ago & has since become one of the most distinguished Muslim convert in Singapore. He has been teaching Islam for more than 10 years and has also written books.

He will be talking from 5pm to 7pm at Saleem Chishty Learning Center (opp Masjid Kassim). No registration or payment is required.
