musollah app tutorial from dyntv.com on Vimeo.
A video tutorial for those who still do not understand how to use our Musollah website. Do check out the video done by Bro Shahib from DYNTV.com.
Have you ever come across a situation where you have trouble looking for the nearest mosque? Or maybe the mosque is just out of the way from your location. So where are the alternative places that you can perform your solat without being looked at or stared?
Well of course in the first place, you can always find a clean spot, find the direction of the qibla and perform your prayers there. Then there are these small praying areas already ready for use, complete with the praying mats, for the ladies ( Telekungs ) and some even have songkong ( Hats in Malay ) which we call the Musollahs. The musollahs are the next best places but HOW DO WE FIND THEM?
I believe that most of you who are in the loop would have receive an email with an attachment which list all the Musollah locations all around Singapore. I even have friends that keep it, printed it and save it into their wallet. That shows how useful this list is.
Therefore our company had written and requested for permission from the original list creator, Bro Jureni to permit us to use his list. So credits to our bro here and do drop by his blog at http://jureniyussoff.multiply.com/. He has a cool song on his site too.
And so two months back, our Bro Fazli Mansor ( Technology Director of IslamicSG Networks ) started working on this cool musollah locater in our website.
So today you can freely access it to find out where the existing musollah are located. So click here to check it out.
Ahh now I’m here so how do I use this site?
Don’t bother scrolling and searching for what you want because Bro Fazli have created the Filtering Function. Just type the location in the SEARCH text box and the information will be filtered out.
Example: Type “Tampines”
You will immediately see 3 results. Cool kan?
We need your help too!
The musollah locations from time to time changes and we need everyone whoever you are to help us update on the locations. Places gets renovated or building get revamped every 3-4 years, therefore these locations will change too, so we seek your assistance in informing us to update us on the presence of this musollah.
Thank you for reading this long post. Hope you will enjoy using the musollah app.
