Simpan Challenge - Ask for Discount?

Posted in News at September 3rd, 2009 / No Comments » 203 views

*Simpan means to SAVE in Malay. If you haven’t, you have to know that there are realistic & practical tips involved. And out of the 1000+ people that joined several have already benefited from these 3 days!

Yesterday’s tip was.. “Always ask for Discount”.

Even if the place that you are buying do not offer a discount always negotiate and ask for Discount. Sounds like Donald’s trump advice.

Well its true though. We usually just buy our stuff without asking for discounts.

So how about it? From now on let’s try asking! If no discount its ok right? At least you ask! Its a 50-50 option of getting the discount right? If you do you save, if you don’t you don’t. Simple isn’t it?

Yes just by asking for discount, there is an oppportunity to save. So look at your shopping list this Ramadhan and see what you can get for discounts. :)

Here is an example of someone who emailed Abang Abu on her results.

Salam Abang Abu,

Sekain

Today Abang Abu have send out tips on getting discount and Ms Liza below reported on her results:

Yesterday I went to KFC to purchase a meal for my family using a discount coupon totalling at $30.25. While taking out my wallet, I recalled I had a KFC member card. So without hesitation, I asked the cashier if this can be considered for further discounts. Well the cashier wasn’t that happy because she had to key in the numbers all over again. However so she did it and end up I only paid $27.75.

Imagine that I saved at least $3 where I can put in to my account.

That’s it for today.

Liza

At the same time the Simpan Challenge Tips include Ustaz Abdul Rahman Sahid’s advice and Quran extracts about money management too. This is really very interesting.

That’s it. Happy Fasting!
