The main objective of this forum is to address the problem of excessive use of the Internet to the point where it can be considered as a form of addiction, a state that is commonly referred to as "Internet
Addiction Disorder" or IAD by those concerned in both the IT and medical professions. Although this issue has not been publicly debated and/or discussed in Singapore , we felt that the time has come for it to be publicly discussed and the information gained be disseminated to the public. This event is targeted to our youths ranging from the age of 13 to 17 years old.
