“If anyone save a life, it would be as if he saved he life of all mankind.” Surah Al-Ma'idah, Ayat 32.
- To spread awareness that donating blood is an act of great human kindness derived from the Islamic philosophy “Rahmatan lil ‘aalameen”.

- It is also to encourage and train our youth from our Youth Classes of SPIB & ACIS to be directly involved in humanitarian activities by being the organizers and to indirectly educate them about the humane philosophies behind blood:
• one colour, putting aside differences
• blood signifies life and giving blood signifies continuing life

- It is also to support Health Science Authority (HSA) in collecting sufficient quantities of blood to meet the needs of patients in Singapore.

Theme is Saddaqah: The Art of Giving (Blood).

To be eligible for donation, you have to be:
- at least 18 years old
- ≥ 45kg
- in good health (Meaning that you were not sick the past week and especially on the day itself, no fever 3 weeks before, and you haven't taken any medication 3 weeks before the time of donation)
- have not gone for dental works within 24 hours prior to donation
- no hepatitis B or C infections, no HIV or at risk of having HIV, no history of drug abuse, no history of cancer, no chronic illnesses that require medication, no tattoos.

Do take note:
=========
- have a good rest the night before
- eat regularly and healthily
- drink plenty of water
- increase your intake of iron-rich food starting at least 2 weeks before the donation.

For those below the age of 18, do indicate in the online form so that we can email to you the consent forms. Print the form and get the signature of your parents and bring it on the day of the donation drive.
