ramadan, majlis iftar, halaqah, istiqamah

Fees: No Fee

Halaqah Series is held on a monthly basis focusing on various topics such as ethics, religion, economics, culture, science and many more, which fits in our club's mission & vision.

What is Istiqamah? Istiqamah roughly translates to steadfastness and consistency, and is an important concept in Islam. It does not only identify with how one should carry out his duties as a Muslim, but also in one's daily routines, for example, as a student. Ramadhan is a good time for doing deeds because the rewards are tenfold. From this session, we would like to learn how we can be consistent from that.

Synopsis:
1. What is istiqamah, and why is it significant?
2. How did the Prophet display istiqamah?
3. Why is important to have istiqamah, and how does a student apply it?
4. Why and how is istiqamah important in Ramadhan?

For this Halaqah session, we are combining it with a Mass Iftar in commemeration of Ramadhan. The objective of this combined iftar and halaqah session is to bring together all the MCMS members, alumni, Muslim student leaders from other institutions, and even members of other faiths together to break fast.
