Allah Subhanahu waTa'ala said: "I have not created jinn and mankind except to serve Me”.
In a Hadith, The Holy Prophet Salla allahu alayhi wasallam said: "Verily the Obligatory Prayers are the foundation of Islam, he who does not perform it destroys his religion".
From the Qur'anic verse and hadith above, it is clearly stated that the objective of us being in this world is to serve Allah and his prophet Muhammad Salla allahu alayhi wasallam. It is an obligation of all who are morally responsible Muslim (Mukallaf) to know and understand of the Jurisprudence and rulings pertaining to the five pillars of Islam, in which they carry out their obligations.
Imam Nawawi's Al-Maqasid is known to be one of the simpler but holistic manuals to learn the pillars of Islam and their rulings for not only beginners but also the learned as well.
In this course, participants will go through the rulings on the chapter of worships which are Purity, Prayer, Fasting and others.
