Dr Jerald F Dirks (Abu Yahya) Brief Profile

Born on December 28, 1949 in Kansas, Dr Jerald Frederick Dirks (Abu Yahya) is an American Psychologist and also an author and lecturer on Islam.

Dr Jerald received his Ph.D in Psychology from the University of Denver on 1978 and holds a B.A. and M.A. in Divinity from Harvard University.

Author of The Cross & The Crescent and other 5 best-selling books, he also published over sixty articles in the field of clinical psychology and over one hundred and fifty articles on Arabian horses. He has contributed numerous articles in DailyMuslims.com and was previously an Editorial Columnist with Muslims Weekly (New York, USA).

Dr Jerald has presented several papers at various dialogues, forums, conventions, seminars and delivered series of lectures to several Islamic Association and universities in the USA, Canada and other parts of the world. He has traveled extensively in the Middle East and interacted widely with the Muslim communities in the United States.
