Jalan-jalan Mencari Allah

[Event has ended]
Mon, 25 January 2010, 7.30 - 10.30 am | English
Singapore Botanical Gardens
Amran Noordin

Fees: $200

This course is an introduction to macro photography for Muslims with a view of appreciating the creation of Allah, the Creator.

Macro photography is simply close up photography and you will will learn how to shoot the small creatures of Allah, both flora and fauna. By doing so, it is hope that you can learn to appreciate Allah's creations without the need to destroy them yet enjoy them in the comfort of your home for years to come through the photographs that you have shot.

Details

This new course is for newbies. They will be instructed and coached on an individual basis. We will teach you the basics of macro photography and is very much a hands-on course. This course will be over three sessions. The schedule for the sessions will be flexible and mutually agreed upon by the instructor and participant. However, for strictly photographic reasons, it will have to be in the morning between 7.30 am to 10.30 am (weekdays or weekends). It will be held at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Participants are expected to make their own way to the venue.

Fee is a low $200 per person. A $20 discount is offered to the participant who is able to bring one other person to sign up for the course. Maximum number of particpants for each session is three.

Equipment
Participants are expected to bring their own cameras (DSLRs are preferred as point-and-shoot cameras can have severe limitations for macro photography). Tripods, external flashes, macro lenses or close-up diopters or extension tubes are huge pluses. Those without the requisite equipment can use the Nikon equipment from the instructor. The Nikon equipment will include a Nikon DSLR, Nikkor lenses, bellows, extension tubes and also close-up diopters from Raynox and Nikon. During the three sessions you will have an opportunity to use all the macro equipment that is available from the instructor.

Each session will be limited to 3 participants to ensure maximum attention from us.

If interested, call Amran Noordin, at 9387 4942 or email to him at [email protected], for a booking.

As we do not have that many places, we encourage you to book your places with us as soon as possible.
